The Process
Sessions take place at carefully selected locations throughout the St. Croix River Valley, in my studio, or right in the comfort of your own home. Each session is planned to match your family’s vibe, whether that’s Wild & Free for adventurous outdoor sessions, Cozy at Home for intimate, everyday moments, a polished studio experience, or something a little more styled. I guide the entire experience so everyone feels comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely enjoys the process, with natural direction that brings out your family’s connection and personality in every image.
01 Reserve Your SessionOnce you have deciding what kind of experience feels right for your family and a sense of what you’d like, you can reserve your date directly through the booking link. Session fees begin at $225 and Image collections begin at $300
02 Your Day03 Gallery DeliveryFollowing your session, you’ll receive a beautifully curated online gallery of your images to view and share with family. From the comfort of home, you’ll have a few weeks to review your photos and decide which collection and products best fit your vision. This flexible experience allows you to take your time, revisit your favorites, and choose what you truly love.

Cozy at Home
One Location Session $275Cozy at Home is perfect for families who want their real life documented where it actually happens, on the couch, in the kitchen, piled on the bed, and everywhere in between. It’s all about relaxed connection over perfection, so kids can be themselves and you can focus on simply being together.

We stay at your home and move through the rooms that matter most—living room, kids’ rooms, kitchen, or backyard—to take advantage of the best light and natural moments. That might look like reading on the couch, baking cookies, building with blocks, or jumping on the bed, so your gallery feels like a true slice of your life rather than a posed photo shoot.

Instead of stiff poses, we lean into simple activities that feel natural to your family—snuggles, playtime, snacks at the table, and little in‑between moments. I’ll gently guide you into flattering spots and then step back so real laughs, cuddles, and quirks shine through.

We take the time we need to settle in, follow the kids’ lead, and tell a beginning‑to‑end story of this season at home. There’s room for breaks, snack time, and a change of clothes if needed, so the session feels easy rather than rushed.

Wild & Free
One Location Session $225Wild & Free is made for families who love being outdoors exploring, and soak up golden light. Think tall grass, winding paths, playing along the shoreline and lots of space for kids to move. Perfect for playful images that feel full of life and movement.

We’ll meet at a thoughtfully chosen outdoor spot that fits your family—this might be an open field, a wooded path, a lakeside shoreline, or a place that includes a bit of each. We’ll wander within that one area, using different pockets of light and scenery (paths, tall grass, trees, shoreline, rocks, or docks) so your gallery feels varied and interesting without needing to drive anywhere else.

Expect lots of prompts that let kids move and be themselves: walking hand‑in‑hand, twirling, running races, snuggling on a blanket, or throwing rocks at the water’s edge. If conditions allow, we can dip toes in, splash a little, or let the kids explore safely near the water, while I guide you into relaxed, flattering spots so everything feels natural rather than posed and stiff.

We time these sessions for softer, flattering light so the whole scene feels warm and inviting—whether that’s sun filtering through trees or glowing over the lake. There’s enough time to ease in, get a few “everyone looking” portraits, and then settle into candid, story‑driven moments as you explore together, so the experience feels more like a family adventure than a formal photo shoot.

City Vibes
One Location Session $250City Vibes is ideal for families who love a more modern look, like brick walls, colorful murals, interesting lines, and a little bit of edge. This experience is perfect if you want something different from the usual field photos and are drawn to texture, color, and an urban backdrop.

We’ll choose a small downtown or urban pocket with a variety of backdrops all within a short walk, think alleys, stairways, storefronts, and maybe a touch of greenery. We move through this one area together, stopping at spots with great light and texture so your gallery feels dynamic without hopping in the car.

These sessions are great for older kids and camera‑shy teens because there’s always something to lean on, sit on, or walk past. I’ll give you easy prompts—walking down the street, leaning on a wall together, laughing between locations—so the city feels like a fun playground instead of a stiff backdrop.

We keep a relaxed pace, exploring and pausing whenever we find great light or interesting color. There’s time for both classic family portraits and more editorial, personality‑driven images that show who you are right now.

In the Studio
Session $225Studio Light & Simple is perfect for families who want a clean, timeless look with zero stress about the weather or clutter at home. It’s all about soft light, simple backgrounds, and genuine connection, so the focus stays on your faces and how you relate to each other—not on the environment around you.

We’ll use my studio, which is set up with flattering natural or studio light and a selection of simple backgrounds. That might mean neutral walls, a cozy seating area, a bed or sofa setup, and a few minimal props so your images feel warm and inviting without ever looking busy or trendy.

In this setting, I’ll give you a bit more guidance—where to sit, how to stand together, where to place hands—so you feel comfortable and know exactly what to do. Once you’re settled, I’ll prompt you into hugs, tickles, and little interactions that bring out your real smiles and personalities.

Because we’re indoors, there’s no need to worry about wind, rain, or extreme temperatures. We take our time, give kids breaks as needed, and move through a combination of classic “everyone looking” portraits and candid snuggly moments, all in a calm, controlled environment.

Mini Sessions
One Location Session $200Mini-sessions are for those no nonsense types that would love a family photo or headshot without having to spend a ton of time!
These sessions are 15 mins in length at one location and result in 15 edited images delivered in a full online gallery.

Collection Packages
Investment from $300Following your session, you’ll receive a beautifully curated online gallery featuring 50 or more fully edited portraits to view and share with family. From the comfort of home, you’ll have a few weeks to go through your images, revisit your favorites, and take your time deciding what you truly love. After viewing the full gallery, you’ll choose the collection and products that feel like the best fit for your family, creating a relaxed and flexible experience without any pressure.
This includes 20 high-resolution digital images of your choice, delivered via immediate download for easy access and sharing. Your online gallery also provides the option to order professional-quality prints and canvases directly, allowing you to create artwork for your home whenever you’re ready. Additional images and upgrades are always available as you design a collection that fits your family best.

Prior to your session, we’ll chat about your vision, how you want to view these images in the future and where they might live in your home. From there, I’ll help you custom-design a collection that fits perfectly, whether that’s a hand-crafted heirloom album or a stunning gallery wall for your living room.
Your package is completely flexible. If you fall in love with more photos than you expected, you can easily add extra digital images or upgrade to purchase your full gallery when you view your final proofs.

I know how exciting it is to wait for your photos (trust me, I’m always just as excited to edit them as you are to see them!). To tide you over, I’ll send over a few sneak peeks within a day or two of our session so you can share them with family and friends right away.
Your full gallery will be ready within 2 to 3 weeks.
When it’s ready, I will send you a beautiful, private viewing gallery. This gives you and your family the space to sit down together, relive the memories of our day, and choose the perfect collection of digital images and physical keepsakes that fit your home and your budget—no pressure, just the freedom to choose exactly what you love!

The short answer: it depends on what we’re capturing! Sessions can range anywhere from a quick 15-minute mini-session to a few hours for a Signature Senior experience.
The long answer: I don't believe in putting the pressure of a ticking clock on our time together. My main priority is making sure we get the images you’ve been dreaming of. Whether that takes 30 minutes or a few hours, we will work together at a pace that feels natural and relaxed to ensure we capture the magic.

Preparing for your session should be fun, not stressful! To start, we’ll work together before your shoot to help you style and choose the perfect outfits.
As a general guide, I always recommend choosing outfits that feel like you and that you can move comfortably in. Rather than identical matching outfits, aim for coordinated colors. Neutrals, earth tones, soft patterns, and simple layers usually photograph beautifully, while logos, neon, and overly busy prints are best avoided.

Don't sweat the forecast! Mother Nature has a mind of her own, and my goal is to make sure you get the absolute best possible light and conditions for your shoot, especially for outdoor sessions.
If the weather isn't cooperating on the day of your session, we will simply reschedule for the next available date that works for both of us. I keep an eye on the radar leading up to our shoot and will make the official call if we need to pivot. Your photos are worth waiting for perfect conditions!
